The EME Team take part in the record-breaking ITB Asia 2019!

The renowned ITB Asia was a three-day affair that ran from 16 to 18 October 2019 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Our team had the pleasure of attending this premier travel trade industry event which set a record this year by attracting 13,000 participants from 132 countries and territories. The show is well-known for establishing high-quality customer contacts and for providing a valuable platform for conducting business. It brought together international exhibitors from all sectors within the travel industry as well as Asia Pacific’s leading travel companies and emerging small and medium-sized enterprises; they had the chance to meet with top international buyers and stakeholders from the MICE, Leisure and Corporate Travel markets. At this year’s ITB Asia, over 27,000 business appointments were recorded.

Our digital experts were out in force as they worked the floor and gained excellent opportunities to make new connections and contacts; they were able to share their knowledge and expertise on digital marketing and how it can be harnessed to increase direct revenue. The team was also able to gain insights into industry news and developments along with trends and technologies from around the world. They even had the chance to catch up with some of our existing long-term clients such as Park Hotel Group, The Scarlet Singapore, Cenizaro Hotels & Resorts, Travelodge Hotels Asia and Pan Pacific Hotels.

In its twelfth year running, the three-day event also hosted very interactive and well-informed forums featuring more than 270 speakers including those from Booking.com, Expedia, IBM, OYO China, TripAdvisor, Tujia and more; they explored how businesses can turn creative ideas into bold, yet practical initiatives to keep pace with technological developments in the travel industry.

These are dynamic and innovative times in the travel industry and the EME team was not only glad to be a part of this event but to also make meaningful contributions and forge new partnerships.
