Cinnamon Air is a domestic airline service in Sri Lanka, entered into the industry with codeshare partnership with Sri Lankan Airlines.

The task assigned to eMarketingEye was to increase SEO bookings & Revenue in 2016 compared to previous year. SEO optimization activities were fine tuned based on the demand & the seasonality. This case study focus on the time period from Jan-June 2016 vs 2015.

The partnership & the synergy with the client was one main reason for the improvement in SEO performance. Input from the client in terms of business requirements & needs helped us to focus on new areas and attract quality SEO traffic to the website.

  • In depth keyword research was conducted to identify how travelers search for air taxi services in Sri Lanka.
  • Analyzed the previous year visitor behavior on the website through Google Analytics, such as the bounce rate of pages, average time spent per page, landing pages with more conversions etc…
  • Studied the visitor trends from which Geo markets have performed well and has recorded a higher conversion rate.
  • Competitive keywords were identified and implemented Title Tags, Meta Tag, content optimization, H1 tags, alt text etc…
  • Offsite SEO Activities were carried out, submitting articles on the new offers and new destinations Cinnamon Air was flying to, Dmoz submission to improve internal links to the website
