eMarketingEye launched its June 2026 AI Visibility Report for Maldives Resorts at EME Level Up: AI Hospitality Connect, its hospitality industry event and switched on a free scorecard tool so any resort can check its own standing.
Colombo, Sri Lanka. eMarketingEye’s June 2026 AI Visibility Report for Maldives Resorts was launched at EME Level Up: AI Hospitality Connect, Sri Lanka 2026. Built on AEYEPULSE, eMarketingEye’s AI brand-monitoring platform, the report scanned four AI platforms; it found 266 resort brands surfacing in AI-generated travel recommendations, up from 242 a month earlier, spread across 24 segments, four more than the May 2026 edition.
No matter where they are in the world, more travellers are now asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Claude to help them choose an island, and eMarketingEye now has the data to show which resorts those AI platforms (LLMs) are actually recommending.
The Numbers that Moved
Brand count and segment count both grew in this edition. AEYEPULSE identified 266 resort brands in June against 242 in May, and expanded its segment tracking from 20 to 24, adding four categories that hadn’t been measured before: Best/Top Hotels & Resorts, Barefoot Luxury, 4 Star Hotels, and Sustainable.
Each of the new categories already has a clear leader. Soneva Fushi topped the new ‘Sustainable’ segment at 85.6% visibility, just ahead of Six Senses Laamu at 83.7%. Gili Lankanfushi Maldives led the new ‘Barefoot Luxury’ segment at 71.9%, and Meeru Island Resort and Spa came out on top of the new ‘4 Star Hotels’ category at 65.3%.
Who’s Leading
Soneva Jani held onto the number one overall position it also held in May, this time with 34.8% AI visibility. Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas moved up to second at 23.8%, and Soneva Fushi rounded out the top three at 22.4%, edging out The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, which had held third place the previous month.
Elsewhere, Hurawalhi Island Resort continued to dominate ‘Adults-Only Resorts’ at 96.0% visibility, JOALI BEING kept its lead in ‘Wellness & Spa Resorts’ at 83.3%, and The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort remained the clear leader for ‘Resorts with Butler Service’ at 94.9%, three of the most decisive category wins anywhere in the report.

A New Way to Check Your Own Score
As more resort brands and new categories enter this report each edition, it’s clear that AI is becoming a real part of how travellers discover and shortlist Maldives resorts. With AEYEPULSE, we can now help any resort brand go beyond a one-off snapshot, monitoring their AI visibility continuously, benchmarking it against competitors, and putting in place the content and technical work needed to actually improve it over time.

eMarketingEye also switched on a free, self-service Brand AI Visibility Scorecard, now live at https://aeyepulse.emarketingeye.com/scorecard. AEYEPULSE has already generated a scorecard for every one of the 266 brands identified in this edition, so any resort can log in and see, at a glance, how it is appearing or not appearing across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude
It’s a new offering for eMarketingEye, built to give individual resorts a starting point rather than just a place in a league table. From there, brands that want to go further can subscribe to AEYEPULSE itself, generating their own reports on demand, tracking movement over time, and benchmarking against named competitors rather than the market as a whole.
Where This Fits For eMarketingEye
eMarketingEye is already working with over 100 hotels and resorts, including several global brands, helping them monitor their AI visibility, gather competitor insights, and put full-funnel Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies into practice; this is the technical and content work behind actually improving how a property is discovered, cited and recommended by AI platforms, rather than just measuring it.
How The Report Was Built
AEYEPULSE submits carefully authored, real-world prompts across leading AI platforms to simulate how travellers search for resorts, then analyses each response for the brands mentioned, their position in ranked answers, and the external sources the AI cites. Brand names are normalised and reviewed by analysts so that variants of the same property collapse into one entry, and results are aggregated across segments for a realistic picture of AI-driven discovery.
This report reflects AI-generated recommendations captured during June 2026 using predefined prompts. AI outputs are non-deterministic, and rankings may change as models evolve. Results are relative rankings, not a substitute for sales or market-share data, and the report does not promote, endorse, or recommend any brand listed.
